The different aspects of leadership and leadership ethics in Plato’s discussions on ideal political governance
In conclusion, this paper aims to define the different aspects of leadership and leadership ethics in Plato’s discussions on ideal political governance, compare them with prominent leaders, and generalize them to suit
the current discussions. It is important to note as an ethical leader that the
actions are always louder than words. People are more likely to judge others by
how they handle themselves than by what they say. By modeling and displaying to
colleagues the use of legal, truthful, and unselfish conduct, ethical leaders
will begin to gain support from their peers. Today, Successful leaders are
pragmatic in approach and demonstrate balance in their behavior. They are
considerate, but they are adamant. Ultimately, a leader motivated by Platonic
would seek strength in his mission and be strong in the face of confusion.
