What’s Open (and closed) in Vegas Right Now

Although the pandemic is far from over, Las Vegas has taken big steps towards reopening. Most casinos, and resorts, are open. Restaurants are open for limited hours. Some retail stores, spas, buffets, nightclubs, and theaters, where social distancing is difficult to maintain, are still closed. Here is a list of some of the places that are open and closed in Las Vegas.

Caesars Palace

The Caesars place is open and is offering dining options. The slots machines and table games at the casino are open 24 hours but with social distancing. Access to all pools has been granted, and parking is free. The Forum Shops at Caesar Place, including the fitness center, is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Color Salon by Michael Boychuck and Qua Baths &spa are also open.

MGM Resorts

Most MGM properties have reopened, including Bellagio, MGM Grand, New York-New York, The Signature, and the Excalibur Hotel & Casino MGM Resorts International. Still, only 35 percent of the rooms are available for booking. The Mirage is currently closed but is accepting reservations. Once you make a reservation at Mirage, you have up to 48-hours before your arrival date to cancel your reservation for any reason and receive a full refund. You can also enjoy free self-parking at all MGM properties upon their re-opening.

Museums

The Neon Museum reopened in late May. However, much sight-seeing is outdoors, and the number of visitors is limited at any one time. The Mob Museum in downtown has also reopened, with temperature checks for visitors at the entrance. Visitors are encouraged to book timed tickets in advance.

Cosmopolitan Marquee Pool

The Cosmopolitan’s adults-only Marquee pool is open from 11 a.m. until sunset Fridays, and Sundays. On Friday and Saturday nights, once the sun sets, guests are allowed until late at night, where they can dance to loud music played by resident DJs. Reservations are strongly encouraged.

The North Las Vegas Drive-In

The Las Vegas drive-in North Las Vegas is open, although the snack bar and entertainment areas are closed. Drivers must leave a car space of 10 feet between vehicles, and attendees must remain inside their cars unless going to the restroom, although they can sit in the back of trucks.
